When we think of meditation, we often picture a monk on a cushion. More recently, a focus on "mindfulness" and "awareness" has popularized meditation as a "gratitude" practice. Buddhist meditation encompasses a broad array of practices through mind and body. One can meditate silently with the body as in the Zen practices, or through sound as in the Pure Land tradition. In this course, learn how Buddhism takes you beyond the intention of self-help into the concept of selflessness as we examine different meditation practices.
